About the Language-Differences Media Lab
Language Differences Media Lab is a both a multimedia resource center and an innovative tool for professional activities. Teachers working with African American English (AAE) speakers and English Language Learners (ELL) students who are struggling to learn and/or are receiving special education services will benefit from our Media Lab. You can explore multimedia resources and see examples of how their student’s linguistic and cultural practices can be used as assets and resources to support their learning.
Our multimedia resources are enriched through professional learning activities which include posting, watching, and commenting on the best practices for teaching English Language Learners (ELL) and speakers of African American English(AAE). In this way, the Language Differences Media Lab provides an ongoing conversation about how to best serve English Language Learners and speakers of African American English.
